Internships

We are looking for an intern/research associate with an academic background in national security, public affairs, foreign policy, political science, computer science, chines language study, and/or related fields. In order to be eligible for this position you must be a senior in an undergraduate program, in graduate study, or a recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program.  Additionally, you must be a US Citizen – security clearance is NOT required.  Please send a resume, unofficial transcript, and writing sample (can be as long or short as you want, we want to see your best work on any topic even if it is unrelated).  This type of position is unpaid, but you will be working directly with a subject matter expert and/or practitioner with a career in this field.  This is not your standard internship where you play phone apps while answering phone calls; this is a way to sharpen your research skills, learn from some of the best in international relations, and be a foundational piece of a start-up think tank.

As an intern/research associate, you will conduct research, writing, and editing to co-produce products with the Tower Foreign Policy Institute (TFPI).  TFPI is a start-up think tank designed to provide subject matter experts and practitioners a way to voice their opinions on ongoing foreign policy issues.  As an intern with us, you will be at the forefront of a new organization designed to be adaptable to emerging technology and business innovations.  Your work will help lay the foundation for our research based on supporting American values.
